“THE GAMES OF A PEOPLE REVEAL A GREAT DEAL ABOUT THEM.”

Welcome to the website for SPRIG and the GCRG at UNB!
The Games & Culture Research Group (GCRG) is an interdisciplinary group of scholars actively pursuing research on games and culture at the University of New Brunswick.
The Significant Play and Research in Games (SPRIG) lab is proposed as an innovative new space at UNB that will bring together scholars, students, teachers, artists, designers, programmers, community members and industry professionals with a shared interest in digital games as rich subjects for cultural research, artistic experimentation, and design innovation.
While this website is currently in development, we encourage you to take a look around.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Dr. Lauren Cruikshank, the UNB SPRIG and GCRG director.
